During the Iranian-Iraqi War of 1980-1988, Farasan Company was Iran’s only axial fans producer and supplier to satisfy the needs of the destroyed industry, including oil refining plants, petroleum plants and electric power stations. In the year of 2000, in order to continue their work over reaching industrial independence, Farasan Company established a new company, Farabard, which has acquired an invaluable experience in the axial fans production over the long years of the company’s activity. Afterwards, Farabard has taken up the engineering and producing of the cooling towers, because the existing towers were seriously damaged after the long years in operation. During this period of the Muslim Iran’s economic development, the growing industry has urgently needed cooling towers, which stimulated the company’s work over the quality enhancement of their products. Moreover, additional equipment was being produced for cooling towers, among which are fiber glass diffusers, drift eliminators, compressors, sprayers, different kinds of hubs and shafts, and axial fans. The Farabard Company worked hard to assure their customers of the highest quality of their products. In particular, the company has obtained quality control certificate ISO 9001:2000 which guarantees the quality and functionality of their equipment. Membership in CTI (International Cooperation of the Cooling Towers Producers) and obtaining a license for producing and selling equipment for manufacturing pipes and connection parts from GRP licensed by Faratek are considered to be one of the major Farabard’s achievements. Moreover, thanks to the updated knowledge, equipment and qualified experts, the company started developing and producing axial fans from fiber glass, 5 to 40 feet in diameter. It is worth mentioning that Farabard produces all the necessary components and accessories for these fans, including hubs, gear boxes, shafts and blades. High productivity and the efficiency factor of the products, along with reasonable prices, allowed the company to join a circle of suppliers in the fields of oil production, oil refinery, gas and energetic industries.
